In 1928, Henri Essers started transporting cattle with one truck. His sons Noël and Jules Essers joined him in 1950. Hilde Essers took over the helm in 2017. Over three generations, the company has grown into one of Europe’s leading transport and logistics service providers for sectors such as chemicals, healthcare, components and infrastructure. H.Essers has achieved this through entrepreneurship, organic growth and strategic acquisitions. In 2022, H.Essers posted a turnover of EUR 1.1 billion.
Today, their company employs more than 7,500 people at 89 sites in 18 countries in Western and Eastern Europe. Its headquarters are located in Genk.

Winlock was asked to install four fireproof gates with 60-minute fire resistance, and as many as ten fireproof gates with 120-minute fire resistance, at the Genk site.
