The former Mahy garage, now known as the Wintercircus, has undergone a remarkable transformation over recent years and has become a central gathering place in the heart of Ghent. This iconic building, which once served as a circus venue and later as a garage, now accommodates a diverse array of offices, dining establishments, auditoriums, and an underground club for concerts and live performances.
The project, spearheaded by the consortium TENT (Together for Entrepreneurship, Networking, and Technology), aims to establish the Wintercircus as a technological landmark.
Winlock is enhancing the fire safety of this innovative project by installing two state-of-the-art firescreens for the artisanal bakery ‘Bakker Klaas‘, which will be situated within the vibrant Wintercircus. These firescreens will ensure a fire-safe environment for the bakery’s production area, providing optimal protection. At the bakery counter, customers will be able to observe the production process up close while enjoying a breakfast, brunch, or lunch. In the evening, Bakker Klaas will transform into a pizzeria, where lattes make way for cocktails.
