VF Europe, located in Sint-Niklaas, is a crucial link within VF Corporation, one of the world’s largest fashion and lifestyle companies. The European branch is responsible for the distribution of iconic brands such as Eastpak, The North Face, and Kipling, playing a key role in the logistics of these brands throughout Europe.
To support growing demand, VF Europe is doubling its storage capacity at the existing site in Eigenlopark, Sint-Niklaas. This is being achieved through the construction of an automated high-bay warehouse. The new European Distribution Center, which will consist of two sections, includes a 28-meter high-bay storage filled with racks for clothing and an adjacent low-rise section that will house offices.
The decision to build a high-bay warehouse was made to optimize the use of available space, which is essential for the company’s growing operational needs. To ensure fire safety in the new 13,500 m² facility, Winlock 3 will install custom-made fire-resistant sectional shutters with a fire resistance rating of 60 minutes (EI1 60), which will also be connected to the various conveyor systems.
