The Belgian consortium Hyoffwind is taking an important step in energy transition with the development of a green hydrogen production unit in Zeebrugge. This project plays a crucial role in the Flemish and European hydrogen strategy and contributes to a more sustainable energy landscape. Hyoffwind is a collaboration between Fluxys, among others, converting renewable electricity into green hydrogen. A 25 MW plant will be built in the first phase, with a planned scale-up to 100 MW in the second phase. Thanks to the support of the Flemish government and the European IPCEI call, this innovative project will receive the necessary support to play a leading role in the hydrogen economy, and will play a key role in the energy transition by providing a sustainable and efficient solution for the storage and transportation of renewable energy in the form of green hydrogen.
As part of this project, Winlock will provide the installation of a fire-resistant sectional shutters with a fire resistance of 60 minutes, including Out Lock and Air Lock, ensuring the safety of the infrastructure.
Thanks, Hyoffwind en BESIX!
