To boost its hefty growth plans, Chips giant Agristo is investing in a fourth production line at its Wielsbeke site. The expansion, which will be operational by 2026, is expected to create 50 additional jobs. Today, the plant runs with three lines and employs nearly 300 people. Wielsbeke is one of Agristo’s several production sites. The company also produces in Harelbeke, Nazareth and the Dutch town of Tilburg. It also has a smaller factory in India, where a team of about 120 employees is responsible for the production of dried potato flakes. Agristo is also firmly committed to expansion in France with a new production site. The French plant will start with one line, but has been designed with later expansion in mind. This site mainly targets the French and southern European markets, while the Belgian sites will continue to focus on Western Europe and exports.
Thank you, Agristo and Alheembouw!
